Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari honored Suresh Wadkar, Usha Mangeshkar, Rohini Hattangadi and others with the Maharashtrachi Girishikhare Award .
Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari presented the Maharashtrachi Girishikhare Award to many celebrities including Suresh Wadkar, Usha Mangeshkar, Dr. Meera Borwankar, Rohini Hattangadi, Tejaswini Sawant, Bhimrao Panchale, Ashok Patki, Anant Kulkarni, Asha Khadilkar. To honor the creative personalities of the society, the Maharashtrachi Girishikre Award was organized by People’s Art Center at Rangsharda Bandra, Mumbai on 26th December 2021 on the occasion of Diamond Jubilee of Maharashtra. Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari after giving away awards to all the celebrities said that I congratulate all the awardees here. These are all great people in their respective fields. Whoever was honoured, not only Maharashtra but the entire country feels proud of all of you. There are some people in society who set an example for others. Such people have been given this honour who are icons. Therefore, it is necessary to respect those who do good work in the society from time to time. We are all children of Mother India and we should all work towards raising the name of our country. I congratulate all the people associated with the People’s Art Center.”
The trophy, specially designed by the Award Gallery, was presented by the Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra, Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari. On this special occasion about 40 eminent personalities from different fields were presented the Maharastrachi Girishikhare Awards.
